Brown and Vergragt are (together with Lewis Akenji, Thomas Smith and Laura Wallnofer) co-editors of the book Vocabulary of Sustainable Consumption and Lifestyles: A Language for Our Common Future, which is published by Routledge in September 2025. The book elaborates 87 concepts that jointly sustain the necessary conversation among different social groups. This keynote provides the elaboration of the important role of language for a transition to a sustainable society.
