YouTube Style Guide

Welcome to SCORAI YouTube!

We invite you to participate in our activities and submit a video to our channel to spread your work, ideas and thoughts. To achieve the best result, please follow the YouTube Style Guide outlined below. For any questions, please contact our YouTube expert Samira Iran.

  • Please make sure that your videos are not longer than 20-30 minutes. The analysis shows that an average view time is less than 10 minutes per video, therefore long videos have less chance to be seen by your audience.
  • Please make sure that your recording has a high-quality sound. A long distance between the microphone and video recording device makes the sound quality to be insufficient if the microphone and recording device are not connected. Therefore, the microphone should be connected to the recording device (e.g. camera, phone). If you intend to record the video with a mobile phone, you could avoid noises of a room by either getting closer to your subject or using another phone as an external microphone. Later on, you can use the audio from one phone on the video from the other phone.
  • Please edit your videos and remove unnecessary footage. Including scenes which are confusing, boring, or just unnecessary distracts your audience. To hold their interest, you need to remove shots that don’t help to advance the talk and make your point.
  • Please add an end screen to ask the viewers to subscribe to SCORAI video channel. We can provide you with our ready-to-use end screen.
  • You can suggest other videos at the end of your videos. For instance, a questions and answers session can be recommended right after the conference session. The link should be added to the end screen.
