Vincent Carragher shared the following invitation with us to think about the driving factors of communities on the sustainable transition.
We want to foster green transition in communities.
We have identified 108 factors that stimulate such
change in communities. We are currently identifying
what mix of these factors works for different
communities. Over the next 2 months we visit a
number of communities across Ireland to collaborate
on this. The communities will help us to determine the
relevance and importance of these factors to them. We
will then bring our results to a Roundtable event in
early 2017 for further review where policy makers,
communities, academics and community based
organisations will discuss them. We will then write
our final report and disseminate to all relevant people
latter in 2017. The main aim is that both communities
and those involved in the community sector will better
understand what actions to take to support green
transition.
