Energy demand growth from AI is stressing electricity supply. While much research has focused on increasing energy supply, less has been done on the reduction of energy consumption by shifting the amount, type, and timing of AI use by individuals and organizations. Dr. Jane Miller, a social psychologist, decision scientist, and current postdoctoral researcher at Vanderbilt Law School, will present research on AI user behavior and discuss the opportunity for information to shift behavior.
The talk will be in-person and virtual and is free and open to the public. It will take place at 11:45 EST on Monday, November 10, 2025 in Kroon Hall 321 at the Yale University School of the Environment and will be broadcast on Zoom. To attend please register here: https://cglink.me/2dA/r2309089
