“生态文明、可持续消费与社会治理”研讨会在上海大学召开
2016年10月15-17日,由上海大学社会学院、国际可持续消费研究和行动倡议组织(SCORAI)、英国曼彻斯特可持续消费研究所、荷兰瓦赫宁根大学环境政策系和中国社会学会消费社会学委员会联合主办的“生态文明、可持续消费与社会治理”工作坊在上海大学嘉定校区召开。此次国际学术研讨会的承办方为上海大学社会学院,核心召集人为上海大学社会学系张敦福教授。荷兰瓦赫宁根大学教授GertSpaargaren、英国曼彻斯特大学教授Dale Southerton、美国新泽西州科技学院教授Maurie Cohen、中山大学王宁教授、中国人民大学张磊博士、英国曼彻斯特大学Alison Browne博士等40余位国内外专家学者出席了本次会议,并与当地非政府组织代表和上海大学师生进行了对话与交流。
本次工作坊中,共有28组学者向参会者展示了他们的最新研究成果,内容广泛,讨论深入,涉及议题覆盖了可持续消费研究前沿理论、中国生态文明建设实践、食品的生产与消费、生活垃圾处理、生活能源使用、日常出行等。在17日下午的“东亚可持续消费和环境问题”圆桌会议上,与会人员还就如何进一步促进可持续消费研究的国际合作、可持续消费的概念和框架、中国消费的可持续性以及可持续转型中社会技术革新的角色等议题展开了热烈讨论。详细信息,请联系:llllei63@hotmail.com

Successful Sustainable Consumption Workshop at Shanghai University, China
From 15-17 October 2016, the workshop on ‘Ecological Civilization, Sustainable Consumption: Insights for Social Governance’ was successfully taken place in Jiading Campus of Shanghai University, jointly held by Schoolof Sociology and PoliticalScience at Shanghai University in China, Sustainable ConsumptionResearch and Action Initiative(SCORAI), Sustainable Consumption Institute at The University of Manchester in the UK, Environmental Policy Group at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and Sociology of Consumption Sectional Committee of Chinese Sociological Association. The secretariat institute of the workshop was Schoolof Sociology and Political Science at Shanghai University, and Professor Dunfu Zhang (Shanghai University) acted as the primary convener of the workshop. More than 40 domestic and oversea scholarsattended the workshop, including Professor GertSpaargaren (Wageningen University in the Netherlands), Professor Dale Southerton (The University of Manchester in the UK), Professor Maurie Cohen (New Jersey Institute of Technology), Professor Ning Wang (Zhongshan University), Dr. Lei Zhang (Renmin University of China), Dr. Alison Browne (The University of Manchester in the UK), etc. Apart from their presentations, the scholars also had some meaningful dialogues and communications with representatives of some local NGOs and staffs and students of Shanghai University.
In this workshop, 28 groups of scholars presented their recent research, whichencompassed a variety of topics, including advanced approached to sustainable consumption, China’s practice in constructing Ecological Civilization, productionandconsumption of food, domestic waste disposal, household energy use, mobility, etc. On the round table discussion in 17thafternoon, the conference participants had heated discussions on topics across establishing further international researcher networks of sustainable consumption, the definition and frameworks of sustainable consumption, sustainability of China’s consumption, the role of social-technical innovations in sustainable transition, etc. See more details in the workshop program attached below.
