Research Development Officer at Northeastern University
Liz Allen, PhD, is a Research Development Officer at Northeastern University. She was previously a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northeastern’s Global Resilience Institute and at the University of Washington’s Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Liz’s research focuses on applying a sociotechnical systems perspective to study sustainability and social justice implications of the sharing economy, energy system transitions, and climate change adaptation. Her community engagement work centers on collaborative system dynamics modeling and regional climate resilience planning.
Liz holds a PhD in Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences from Washington State University (2016). Her doctoral research explored approaches to stakeholder engagement in regional climate change impacts modeling and analyzed how environmental models are used in land use planning.
